A palm tree - another one for the scenery. You might want to substitute this for the fir tree earlier on, if you wish to set the scene in Mediterranean surroundings (or you might do both, as I did: the shepherds in the Alps, the mages in the Mediterranean).

Erratum - or rather omission: the thin stick required in the pattern needs to be inserted into the trunk to keep the tree upright.
